Bridesmaids' Cards and Family Album

Hi everyone...I have been so busy!! I finally got to finish the album I talked about in my recent posts. Here is a preview:

And here is what I have been doing this past couple of weeks:

I had a huge order of 130 thank you cards. I was so happy to find out that with a little organization I can handle a big order. I have had many requests for Bridesmaid's cards and invites. It's a lot of fun to work with creative brides. I have had the enjoyment of creating different designs using their favorite colors and customizing the brides and their bridesmaids.

Now for a look of a little personal fun time where I created this so feminine so cute tag!!

I will take more photos of the Family album tomorrow and post it here with instructions and details on what I did. So please check back!!

Have a great week!!

Bridesmaids' Cards and Bridal Tea Shower Thank you Cards

I am sorry I haven't posted for over a week. I have been so busy. The windows of Heaven opened up here and I have a ton of custom orders. Of course, that is a good thing, but my blog was left abandoned for almost a week.

That album I said I was working on also got put on hold. So before I go back to finishing my Bridesmaids cards I wanted to share one more tip with my fellow scrapbookers.

As always I am trying to create something instead of buying it. So I wanted to use felt on my album in an unique way. So I decided to stamp it and cut it out. But not just the circle, or flower. No, a flourish. Take a look at the photos:

Doesn't that look great?

On the photos I wasn't able to capture the stamped image, but the ink can be seen on the black felt. It looked really nice on the album. and yes, that red flower is the one I painted. Look HERE to see how to create flowers in colors you don't have!!

I will share the album next week, so please sign up for my newsletter on the right side to be notified when I post.

Also if you need some Bridesmaids' Invitations, Maid or Matron of Honor cards, Wedding gift tags, favors, place cards, be sure to email me too (check the right side bar for a clickable link) ...I am having such a great time creating these pretties for excited Brides to be. :)

have a blessed weekend!!!

You don't have it ? Improvise!

ok...in a previous post I told you about my problem with Paper and other Scrapbooking addictions, as well as, how I have been downsizing and selling my stuff on Ebay and Etsy.

Well, I am currently working on a new project and I did not have Prima flowers in the right color for it. So I began brainstorming how could I get it without having to buy more supplies. I am drowning in supplies!! LOL

I learned with Scrapperlicious how to make flowers out of pattern paper, vellum, acrylic and more! But that was not the look I was going for. I wanted to use some Prima flowers! So it hit me: I can paint them!!!

Yes, I can paint them! So I used some acrylic paint and painted my pretty Prima flowers.

The ones on the left are the original. The ones on the right are the result of my painting job. :)

I needed some flowers that were of a deeper green, like grass green; and I needed some red flowers. So now, I have them!

So next time you can't find an exact color in your Flower stash, paint what you got!!

PS I will be posting more ideas and the project later. So please come back!!

Have a blessed day!!

Premade 12x12 Layouts on EBAY!!!

It's been over a month since I have listed Premade pages or Layouts on Ebay! We were busy with my parents and I had a ton of custom orders for Bridesmaids' invitations and wedding custom tags and other things. Not counting all the cards I have been making for the troops!! :P

Anyway, I have been browsing lots of new blogs. There are some that are in foreign language that I do not speak or understand at all. But the pictures tell it all!!! I have been so inspired. I will make a point of listing some of those on the right side of my blog in the near future. But for now, I wanted to share with you what I have listed on Ebay.

There were lots of new techniques I had never done before on this layout. I had a great time making it. I think this is one of my favorite layouts so far!!! I will be sure incorporating some of that grungy, distressed and layers on future creations.

Here is another layout. This one the inspiration came from the latest Creating Keepsakes magazine. I just had to try drawing me some pumpkins too. My take was on the black cardstock though. I also doodled on those buttons. They are available to you on my Etsy shop.

If you like my blog please consider signing up for my newsletter on the side bar. You will be notified every time I include a new post. You won't be receiving any additional emails or spam.

I will share on a later post some of these techniques. Enjoy!!!

Cards for the Wounded Heroes.

Today we had a lunch at church to celebrate the retirement of our secretary. She has been working at the church for 18 years, now she is retired. Which actually means she won't be receiving a salary, but I bet she will still be working for us. :)

Anyway, I took all the cards that my daughter and I made for the heroes serving this country to the lunch and asked people to sign them. We had a great turn around.

Here are the photos.

I don't know how many there are. I haven't counted them yet.

The designs are pretty simple. I have bought some stamps at Agape Gifts and used them on the cards. Agape Gifts has beautiful stamps that are Patriotic, Religious, funny and Christian themes too. Sandy will also give you a discount if you are buying stamps to use on your cards that you are sending to Cards for Heroes.

These are going to the soldiers that are injured in the battlefield and the medical staff that takes care of them.

Here are my daughter's cards. She used her collage scrapbook pages. WE scanned them in and then printed them out and glued on the front of the cards. There is one she used one of her photos from her first fishing trip and made a collage card.

Here is my favorite card: YOU'RE THE BEST COUNTRY LOVIN' FREEDOM FIGHTER!!!

the cool thing about these cards are:

1) you don't need to send envelopes;
2) they can be simple. Use your scrap papers. You can see some of the techniques I used on these cards HERE. The cards are going inside the care packages sent to these wounded heroes and medic personnel by Operation Quiet Comfort.
3) It's a great way to show them that we know they are still out there, that we appreciate them, that their efforts are not in vain.

So I challenge you today to go make some cards with a purpose. :)

Check out the links on this post for more information and to read what heroes and their families are saying.

Have a beautiful blessed Sunday!!

How about the CHILDREN?

Well, I have been making cards for almost a year now. This past week while brainstorming to make cards for our troops to send to their loved ones, I began designing cards from a point of view of a Daddy or a Mommy sending a note card to their little girl or little boy. Suddenly it hit me. I had never listed a card made for a child on my Etsy shop. As quickly as that thought came a dozen other followed with many ideas and designs coming together.

So I designed 2 cards. Then again, it hit me, that they can actually be used as titles for scrapbook pages!! Wow, 2 in 1 product. How cool is that??!! LOL

Anyway, here are my first cards. They are in that new square size that I am working with.

I will be adding other cards soon in some boy themes.

I also have spent quite some money on some new products this past week. Every day I get a new package in the mail. I can't wait to show you what I have been working on.

Have a beautiful day and thanks for visiting with me!
