Hybrid Scrapbooking: Vintage Paris Journal - Part 1

I will share in this post and the next ones the Vintage Paris inspired Journal I made for a dear friend.

This was a new project for me and I had a blast creating it. For the first time ever, I had a hard time parting with a treasured creation. Don't worry, Marina, your journal was shipped today! :)

So anyway, here is the first photo of it.

The book was created with Brushes (digital stamps). In my Photoshop CS3 I created the front and back covers. I chose the colors and using the stamps I created the paper you see stamping the background and the images in red.

Here is the back cover.

Make sure you click on the images to enlarge them and see the details.

I used the same set of Photoshop brushes to create the journal pages on the inside.

YOu can find these Brushes for sale HERE. They were created by The Graphic Mime and I was so inspired by her work as many other digital artists that Digital Scrapbooking has definitely arrested my heart. :)

Come back tomorrow and I will share more details about the front cover and all those pretty images showcased there.

Would love to hear your comments. How has been your digital experience?

TFL!!

Vintage PAris Hybrid Scrapbooking Project

Marina asked me to create her a Journal. She loves vintage and the Paris theme also. So I used a mix of Digital stamps and created a very cool journal. Here is a sneak peek.

I have come to realize that I am a Hybrid Scrapbooker. Come back later this week to see the whole project and I will share some of the resources I used to make this journal.

If you are a hybrid scrapbooker or card maker, what have you been making lately? Or if you are an experienced one, what was your very first project?

Love to hear from you,

Tereza :)

Fabulous Custom Made Bridesmaids' Cards!!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share the fabulous custom orders finished and delivered last week.

The next photos are from another custom order. Not only the bride personalized the cards with her friends' names but she went all out showcasing their personalities.

To the friend that is an animal print and beach lover we created this card:

For the friend that loves to pamper herself and damask patterns we created this one:

The ones below are for her flower girls. Aren't they sweet?

I also just finished a Vintage Paris inspired journal and I will be sharing the photos later on tonight or tomorrow. I have 4 more orders to finish up this coming week. As well as our Income Tax...are you busy doing yours too?? :)

Have a great week. :)

I am hooked!!

I was at Scrapbook News and Review Website yesterday briefly and I voted on their Poll on what type of Scrapbooking are you. The options were Traditional, Hybrid, Digital and All the above. Well, I voted "all the above".

I found out that it is only second place to traditional. That means that more and more people are finding out about the digital world but not willing to let go of the traditional. So, we end up doing all 3!!

I can say I am completely hooked. I can also say that I am addicted to challenges, so I jump from one to the next. About a year and half ago I didn't own ONE single stamp. Not one rubber stamp or acrylic one. Now, not only do I owe dozens of acrylic and rubber stamps, I just found out digital stamps!!!! They are called Brushes and they are way too coooool!! :)

Take a look at some of the things I created today just playing around!!!

So the first one is a 8x8 digital layout. The second picture is actually a pattern paper that I made using the brushes and then I punched some scalloped tags out of it. And the last one is one of my card turn tag or bookmark that I sell in my Etsy shop. They are 5.5 x 3.3" and are blank on the back. So you can use as a card and write your message and send it. The recipient can use it as a bookmark instead of throwing it away.

Here are a few more digital collages that I made this past week.

I know I have been using this acqua satin ribbon everywhere, but I am hooked on it too!! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Pear and Plum Color Scheme for Wedding or Bridesmaids Cards

Hi everyone,

I had a customer this past week that requested a design using pear and plum color scheme. So I went to town and created a few designs. I wish I had more time and I would probably have made 4 more. I used hydrangeas to complement the look of the cards, played around with different green ribbons and even added some ruffles to one of the cards. For some of the flower techniques I used, please go HERE.

Can you guess which one she picked?

Have a great weekend...

PS the baby guest book sold withing 48hs that I listed on Etsy. I am at the moment working on another one. :)
