Candles with Scriptures and a new CARD!!

Yesterday I received in the mail the candle I won from PennyLaneboutique. It's a sweet candle that comes with a Bible verse on the lid. The perfect Housewarming gift. :) Love the scent and the size of it: perfect to take on a trip. Thank you so much, Penny. :) Make sure you go check out all the wonderful handmade soaps and other goodies she has in her boutique.

Talking about housewarming... I don't know why but I got in the mood of making a card for someone that just bought a house. I designed the little house by using a reproduction of a vintage sheet of music and added the doodled windows and the pretty flowers.

Also, yesterday my give away at Aged Papier Vintageended. Congratulations, Michelle!! I hope you enjoy the cards and tags, and don't be a stranger, let us know how you like them.

I will be posting more soon, but for now, this is it! Have a blessed Sunday!! :)

Bridal Shower Party Favors Gift Tags

It's through my handmade items that I live and imagine the most amazing places and events... so I was dreaming of this wonderful Bridal Shower with soft colors, lots of pretty flowers and good eats. Pretty tables, ladies dressed in fancy dresses, little girls with braided hairs and not a care in this world. So I created these tags:

I wish I had all the time in this world to sit down and create all the things my mind envisions. But I don't have THAT much time to play. :) So I made these little tags just for fun. They are available for you in my Etsy shop.

Now, if you like any of the images above but it is not exactly what you need, email me. I would love to make something specially for you. For example, you like the Merci Beaucoup tags but you would like them blank to use as place cards or name tags... I would love to work with you and create that for you. :)

Have a beautiful day and don't forget to go sign up for my Give Away.

Now I am on to the next project: a Flower Girl Invitation card! :) Come back to see how that turns out. And, oh, another altered album coming soon!! :)

Family Album SOLD and next Give Away!

My Family album sold AFTER the auction was over!! Now, tell me that isn't God's favor??!!! :) A sis from northern California contacted me saying she saw the album but the auction was over. She inquired if it was still available. So we closed the transaction really smoothly. She is an Etsy lover too so it was easy breezy!!

My experience with Etsy has been that sellers and buyers are more personal and professional at the same time. Transactions there occur very smoothly and people just appreciate one another. I thing there is less stress since fees are so reasonable. ;)

Anyway, I will be posting more later. Now, just a quick note to my followers and subscribers that my next Give Away will be held on October 15th. More on that later!!!

Have a beautiful Sunday afternoon!!!

Fall Cards for CardsforHeroes

Hi everyone....

Please take a moment to vote on the right column so I can prepare some goodies for my next Give Away or Candy Blog. Also please sign up for my newsletter so you know when I post.

ok... you cardmakers and scrappers out there, what do you do with your scraps of paper and ribbons and other things you don't want anymore?

I decided to put them all to good use and made some cards for our heroes. Click HERE to find out who I am talking about.

Look at what I made last night:

These are very simple cards but will sure make an impression. My favorite color is YELLOW. So you know I love fall and all those warm tones of orange, reds and yellows.

I used some ribbon I did not want any more, some left over Prima papers and some Pebble Inc. die cut stickers. All I did was cut the strips of pattern paper and glue them to the bottom of card, then cut the ribbons and tied them to each of the cards. Then I matted each die cut sticker and placed them slightly on top of the ribbon. Next I stamped my Fall text either directly on the card or on a punched circle.

Now how difficult is that??? Click HERE to find out the great challenge they have put out there. There is still some time left, so go make some good use of those scraps. :)

More close ups:

Blessings,

BoBunny Altered Word Album

When BoBunny came out with these Altered Word albums made of chipboard I quickly grabbed me a few. They are so much fun to make. I have made a BELIEVE album, a couple of BABY albums, a LOVE album and my latest one is a FAMILY album.

With my first 4 I used pattern paper to cover each letter and then proceeded to embellish and place the mats. With my last one I wanted to try something different.

I also purchased the SPLENDOR paper kit from BoBunny with My Enabler. I just loved all the reds, black and touches of green and yellow of that collection. So I thought a black background to the paper would look beautiful.

So my quick take on the album was to PAINT the whole album with BLACK acrylic paint and then stamp it with white ink. Oh, I had so much fun.

Here are the photos...

I also painted some Prima flowers. I didn't have the red and green flowers I was looking for so I painted them. Here is a closer look at that technique.

I also wanted to use some felt but didn't want to go spend money on it. So I used the felt I had in my stash: those 8x11" pieces of felt you can buy at any craft store. I stamped on them and cut out some pretty flourishes. Here is another closer look at that technique.

Here are a few more looks at the album. I added glossy accents to some of the flowers and die cuts to give the embellishments that glossy and smooth 3D finish.

If you would like to see more photos of the album check out the link to my Ebay listings. The photos are huge and you can see lots of details. :)

Have a blessed weekend :)
