Submissions!

So I decided to try something really new to me. I am submitting my work to some magazines and challenges.



I created the Thank you card above to submit to the Embellish Color Challenge and the Gallery Idol 2010.



Here are some close ups of the card.





These are my observations:
1) Submissions are harder than I thought.
2) There are a lot of things that go into making a card, besides the supplies' list which in this small card turned out to be huuuuuuge!!! LOL
3) I am learning that I need to keep to my style and personality as I create using an outside challenge. This is very tricky!

Christmas in May???

I am making cards for Operation Write Home and made some Christmas cards. These are smaller cards measuring 4.25x4.25" or 3.5x4.25" and are so adorable. They will fit into a A2 envelope without any problem.

I will also be sharing more on the ribbon technique later this week.






I am selling a set of 6 of Shabby chic cards on my Etsy shop for just $15.00. That is less than $3.00/ card for a handmade embellished card. Talk about a bargain!!! They would make the perfect gift. :) Be sure to stop by and check them out!
