Custom Made Wedding Gift for the Mother of the Bride

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend. We are certainly enjoying the summer weather and the pool. :)

Let me show you what I have been working on.

This is a custom order for a very special lady. She is getting married and is giving this album as a memorable gift to her Mom. There is also a Dad album coming soon. :)

this altered album is massive. It stands at 8" tall and 14" long. It's not made of chipboard but MDF. It's heavy and sturdy and just gorgeous. This particular one, because my customer had so many photos, has 7 pages for a total of 14 pages.

I am again using the Graphic 45 papers - Baby to Bride collection and they just have a nostalgic vintage feel. Very pretty. :)

Of course, what you are seeing here is just the first layer of this album. I will now add photo mats, embellishments, stamps, flowers, lace, ribbon, pearls, words, texts and more. So please come back to see the final result.

I will also share later this week the Bridesmaids cards I have finished this past week. :)

Thanks for stopping by, and as always feel free to contact me for custom orders. :)

Vintage 8x8 Chipboard Album

I am renovating my computer room, so everything is a mess in here...kind of difficult to post much but I will try. :) I just finished a chipboard that was just wonderful to make. I got to play with the Graphic 45 papers. Oh, my!! they are so delicious...and because I couldn't decide which collection to use, I used a bit of everything. If you are familiar with these papers you will certainly recognize all of them. :)

Please come back in a few days and stop by my other blog to see some techniques and tips that I will share. :) Now, on to some more photos...enjoy. :)

Cards for Heroes Blog Hopping!

****Memorial Day Update - some people on the comments asked how did I know that the RED CARD in the soldier's hands was mine. Earlier on there was a bigger photo on CFH blog and I was really able to see it closely and it is mine. Below is a bigger picture of one of the cards I sent. And like I describe below on my original post I cut up pieces of a Christmas fabric and machine stitched to a red cardstock and hand stamped Merry Christmas on the inside. there were many different images on the fabric: Snow man, Christmas tree, bells, angels and with them the Christmas wishes for Joy, Peace, Love etc. I was so happy to see the fruits of my labor and it really motivated me to keep making more cards to send to them. It really takes very little to make someone's day.***********

If you follow my blog or have been here before you might have noticed my little banner of Cards for Heroes. Cards for Heroes is an organization that donates cards to our soldiers abroad so they can send hand written notes to their loved ones here back home. They also provide encouraging cards to our wounded heroes helping out another organization that provides quilts and other needed personal items to the soldiers that are wounded and have to be transported to a hospital.

I have become involved with this organization and have sent some cards to them a couple of times. My daughter and I got busy and made a bunch of them, as well as Christmas cards last year. If you would like to see some of them and the tips I shared please click HERE.

so I am participating on a Blog Hop to help promote this organization and get more people involved. Please check out their website for more information.

You don't need to be an expert card maker to join, or send dozens of cards. Just do a little or as much as you can. There are so many creative ways you can help. If you don't want to make cards, you can donate supplies, send a few dollars to help out with shipping, sign AnyHero cards...there is so much to do.

I have recently started collecting the cards that don't sell in my shop and I am sending them over.

Also do you see that red card in the hands of that hero on the first photo on this post? It's my card!! That is a Christmas card that I made using some donated red cardstock. I cut up some Christmas fabric that had cute pictures on them with sayings like Peace, Joy, etc and I machine stitched them to the cardstock. Them my daughter and I hand stamped MErry Christmas on the inside of them and they were ready. We sent over 50 cards. They were simple, cute and it was a great opportunity to do some bonding with my little one.

Have I convinced you yet? :)

Be sure to hop over to Pamela's website. Pamela is also participating on this blog hop. Pamela designs stamps and has some wonderful unique designs and scenery stamps, as well as beautiful cards and useful techniques and tips.

As you browse around the blogs make sure you leave traces that you were there. :) Would love to hear your comments.

Have a beautiful weekend and let's celebrate the heroes of this country! :)

Sneak Peek and Baby Guest Book!

HI everyone,

I just finished another amazing custom order that I got to use the Graphic 45 papers on! Such wonderful vintage colorful papers!! I will share a sneak peek for now and all the photos tomorrow. Make sure you click on the picture to enlarge it and see the details.

As I had promised before, here are the photos of the Baby Boy Guest Book.

This book is made of chipboard and acid free cardstock. I embellish the covers and hand stamp each page. This is a wonderful book to have at baby showers for your friends and guests sign and leave you a message or advice. Of course, there should be a lot of pages left blank which can be used by you to add information of the baby once he is born. There is plenty of room for pictures too. And if you like to scrapbook you can actually add patterned papers and embellishments to the pages you adhere photos to.

Hope you enjoy and I would love to hear your comments. Of course, as always, if you would love one, just email me -------->>>>>>>>> there is a link on the right side. :)

Here is a photo of the Baby album and the Guest book together.

Thanks for stopping by!! :)

New Bridal Images New Bridesmaids' Designs

Lately the Pear and Plum Color Scheme has been in high demand. Sometimes it's called Watermelon Pink and Clover Green, as in David's Bridal color chart, sometimes it's just baby pink and green, sometimes magenta and olive green...in the end it's all in the neighborhood of Pink and Green. With that beautiful color scheme in mind and some new Bridal images I had to create some new cards.

For the romantic bride...

For the young and joyful bride...

For the classic bride...

For the daring and sassy bride...

As you can see we can customize your skin and hair color. Flowers and the groom can be colored as well according to your preferences. You can have long or short veil, or no veil at all. Flowers on the head or on the dress. You, as the bride can be alone on center stage, or next to your Prince Charming. Backgrounds, color scheme, embellishments can vary according to your taste and imagination.

These cards are so versatile. We can turn them into thank you cards, Bridal Party Invitations, Bridesmaids' cards and anything else you can think of. WE can add text to the inside, to the front. You can create your own personalized text and have it printed on the inside for your bridesmaids, maid of honor, flower girl and anyone participating in your Bridal party. We can also create tags, place cards and more. :)

The sky and your imagination is the limit. If you would like unique, handmade, customized, personalized cards made for your Wedding, send me an email. I would love to work with you. :)

Have a beautiful day and thank you for stopping by! :)
