Fleur de Lis got a hold of me!

I found these darling digital fleur de lis images and could not resist and made some adorable gift tags.

then they kept looking at me asking to be made into something more... so I made some cards...

They are still daring me to create something else with them, so who knows what else will come out.

I am now at 36 weeks pregnant and with very swollen feet, my hips and tail bone hurt and it is difficult to sit and make things for long. Unfortunately, this is also one of my most creative times just before delivering a baby. :)

Be blessed,

Vintage inspired Easter and valentines Cards

Hi everyone, real quick post just to share a couple of cards I made this past week.

I have been busy with my birds (that's what I call my children sometimes)...but I did have time to create a couple of cards that were roaming around my brain for a while.

The first one is an Easter card...well not really Easter but a card to celebrate the Life of the Lamb of God really. My pastor a couple of years ago shared with us during Resurrection Sunday how the Passover lamb was a foreshadowing of the sacrifice of the One True Lamb of God: Jesus! What I thought was really interesting was that the lamb to be sacrificed was kept in the house as a pet. At the end of the week it was then slaughtered and eaten by everyone in the house.

When I found the vintage image of this little girl holding a lamb like it was her pet I could not resist but turn it into a card to celebrate the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Of course, the red satin ribbon is to remind us of the blood that was shed for the forgiveness of our sins.

I altered the image digitally and added my text. Of course, I can customize the card with whatever text you like or Bible verse. Email me if you would like to have some of these! To see some of my other digitally altered ART and cards go HERE.

I already have a custom order for 20 of these. I think in a time where Christians get distracted with bunnies, eggs and chocolate, we need to set our eyes on Jesus.

I also created some 3x4" tags for decoration, gift giving or attaching to goody bags.

The second card is just a card that I created thinking of someone who may need a "pick me up" message. :)

Have a blessed weekend...

Tereza

PS these cards will be on my Etsy shop for sale, of course!!

Enjoy Today. Tomorrow will come quickly.

The other day I was watching home videos of my now 7 year old first born daughter and reminiscing of the time when she was a baby and a toddler. I wish someone would have told me the things I know today, so I could have enjoyed her more and fought with her less. I had a really hard time understanding the development stages of toddler hood and she was and still is a very strong willed little girl so we had our struggles. I remember many nights crying my eyes out because of power struggles and not knowing how to deal with many different situations.

Today I know that there are certain fights that are not worth taking on. Some things are just part of a child's growing up stages and patience and love are the best medicine.

So I try not to condemn myself for the past and move on. I try really hard to enjoy her now and leave the past behind. I make sure to apply the lessons learned to my other children who came after her. (I am also a first born, so I know what it is like to be a guinea pig. What won't kill you, will make you stronger.)

Everyday is an opportunity to build new memories and grow closer to her.

So my baby inspired me to created these 2 pieces of ARt Wall. They are about 6" to 8" wide and can be hung or displayed on a picture holder. I finished them this afternoon and couldn't wait until tomorrow to take photos, so please forgive me for the glare and the lack of light. I will re-take these photos again and edit this post tomorrow.

But for now... Enjoy Today. Tomorrow will come quickly.

Be blessed,

Happy New Year!!

I hope everyone is doing good in spite of all the Global Warming going on. (I'm being sarcastic here). I am glad I live in the South of the United States and not in the Frozen North. I just could not live through such a harsh winter. Please keep warm if you live up north.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful customers and friends for such a wonderful past year. It was a busy but a blessed year! God is so good and faithful! I know 2010 is going to be even better!

I hope you all had a good Christmas too. For Christmas my family and I went to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. This is the second consecutive year that we make this trip during this time of the year. The Hotel is beautifully decorated and it is actually a live green house. There are so many gorgeous flowers around and the staff is so attentive. The children had a blast walking around the hotel, riding the boat and going to the Ice show. Here are some photos of the orchids.

We really like it there, because although outside is freezing cold, inside we walk around in our shorts and pretend it's springtime! I am a tropical girl. I really don't like winter, snow or being locked inside. I am glad that winter comes and goes and spring time will be here quickly and with it a new baby girl!

Yes, for those that don't know I am 33 weeks pregnant and a baby girl will be here soon. I so look forward to snuggling and smelling my baby!

I have a few custom orders to finish before baby is here. My parents once again will be making the trip from Brazil here and they will be helping our keep the children busy during this harsh winter. I am so blessed to have parents that are so helpful and love me and my family so.

I also have been inspired in making a new sort of art. I will be sharing them soon.

Happy New Year everyone!! Don't look at your circumstances, look to the Lord Jesus for the Grace to make each day a joyful one!
